Porcelain veneers
Dental veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth, changing their color, shape, size, or length, hence improving the overall appearance of the patient’s teeth
Direct Veneers - Composite resin veneers directly built-up in the mouth and are made in the clinic itself.
Indirect Veneers - Porcelain veneers are indirectly fabricated in a dental laboratory, and later bonded to the tooth using a resin cement. They resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth. (Read more)
What Types of Problems Do Dental Veneers Fix?
- Teeth that are discolored -- either because of stains from tetracycline or other drugs, excessive fluoride, or the presence of large resin fillings that have discolored the tooth
- Teeth that are worn down
- Teeth that are chipped or broken
- Teeth that are mal aligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped
- Teeth with gaps between them (to close the space between these teeth).
